GAWLER SHOW OLIVE AWARDS

These Olive Awards organised by Fleurieu Food have been critical in developing the reputation of Fleurieu Peninsula as a premium Australian region for olive and oil production. 

Now in its 12th year, the competition is open to all small and independent producers of extra virgin olive oil and table olives on the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island. All entries must be grown, processed or from a business based in these regions.

DELIVERY OF EXHIBITS

ALL EXHIBITS TO BE DELIVERED TO SHOWGROUNDS

Sports & Recreation Centre Building at the following times: Thursday 27th August - 4.30pm to 6.00pm OR Friday 28th August - 8.00am to 11.00am
and not removed until after 5.00pm Sunday

EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL CLASSES

  • MA001  Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Micro - producing under 50L,

    minimum 250ml sample clearly labeled

  • MA002  Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Small producer - 50L-200L,

    minimum 250ml sample clearly labeled

  • MA003  Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Big producer - over 200L, minimum 250ml sample clearly labeled


TABLE OLIVES

  • MA004 Olives, any other product clearly labeled, any container minimum 50 olives
